    7272===== Serial Debug =====
    7373
    74   The base station has a 9 pin connector (hidden behind a black hex bolt next to the port marked "ETH") which allows access to the two serial consoles (one for the Airspan radio and the other for the networking unit). This is useful for recovery purposes when the base station does not respond via software, SSH, or web interfaces.
    75
    76 ====== Serial Debug !Connector/Cable ======
    77
    78   Compatible connector is made by CUI Inc. model MD-90 (Digikey: [https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/MD-90/CP-2090-ND/145326 CP-2090-ND])
    79
    80     - Black plastic casing and strain relief are discarded, otherwise it will not fit into the base station.
    81     - The front 3/4" of the connector exterior must be kept clear (even heat shrink tubing on the front section will prevent insertion).
    82     - Solder wires to the shorter/larger diameter pins.
    83     - It is recommended to use hot glue or other potting compound on the rear of the connector to hold it and the wires together (since we had to discard the plastic casing).
    84
    85   Pinout of base station "jack":
    86
    87     ||= airspan =|| TX1, RX1 ||
    88     ||= asil8xx =|| TX2, RX2 ||
    89     ||= Ground =|| outer metal shell ||
    90
    91     [[Image(airspan_serial_console_pinout.png)]]
    92
    93   Connect the cable to a standard RS232 serial port (no null-modem adapter needed).
    94
    95 ====== Serial Port Settings ======
    96
    97   ||= Baud Rate =|| 120000 ||
    98   ||= Data Bits =|| 8 ||
    99   ||= Stop Bits =|| 1 ||
    100   ||= Parity =|| none ||
    101   ||= Flow Control =|| none ||
    102   ||= Transmitted Text =|| append carriage return (not applicable to PuTTY) ||
    103   ''NOTE: PuTTY is recommended because it can properly forward commands like Ctrl+C to the base station which are necessary because the consoles have a linux style shell.''
     74  The base station has a 9 pin connector (hidden behind a black hex bolt next to the port marked "ETH") which allows access to the serial. This is useful for recovery purposes when the base station does not respond via software, SSH, or web interfaces. See [wiki:cLTE/cHardware/cAirSynergy/ Airspan LTE Base Station Serial Console] for information on cable construction and serial port parameters. Note that the !AirSyngery only has the "asil8xx" serial port functioning (TX2,RX2 in the referenced document). However, the other internal module can still be accessed via ssh once logged into the asil8xx module via the serial port.
